The Write Site, TWU's comprehensive writing center, serves the writing needs of the entire university community by providing direct, individualized writing assistance to students from all disciplines with any aspect of the writing process by maintaining a wide variety of resource materials related to writing instruction, by making the center and its staff available for faculty members' classes, by sponsoring a variety of special workshops and seminars related to the writing process, and by offering online assistance for distance learners through the OWL (Online Writing Lab). The Write Site's graduate and undergraduate writing consultants are committed to serving students from all educational backgrounds with the goal of fostering growth and maturity in the individual writer and the TWU community.
The Science Learning Resource Center (SLRC) was established by a grant from the National Science Foundation in 1978. SLRC provides review sessions in direct support of TWU classes. Our staff may clarify the assignments made with the instructors and confer as needed with instructors to assure that our assistance is consistent with instruction. We strive to teach every TWU student that comes to our center how to be successful in their courses.
